Boutique franchise operation Australian Mortgage Brokers (AMB) announced today that national aggregator Astute has taken a shareholding stake in it.

Founder and CEO of AMB, Paul Gollan called it an "important milestone" in the company's history.

"We have built something very special at AMB over the past decade and we will be working closely with Astute to determine where they can add value to our business in terms of accreditations, services and systems," he said.

Astute founder and director Brad Wood said that Astute had been in the market "for some time now" looking for opportunities to grow its national footprint.

"AMB has a similar culture and quality operators in its business and that suits our model perfectly," he said.
