Macquarie Bank's aggregation venture finally has a name. According Mortgage Choice CEO, Michael Russell, the new business will be called "Wonderland".

Russell revealed the name at the annual Mortgage Choice Xmas media lunch, where he jokingly described the venture as "the best kept secret in the industry" -  news that Macquarie was putting the deal together was revealed on Broker news in March this year.

Russell said Macquarie Bank would have a 20% share in the aggregator, which brings together "three or four groups".

National Brokers Group, The Mortgage Professionals and The Brokerage are understood to be the three groups who have signed up to the new venture.
