AMP has become the latest bank to push mortgage rates up beyond the RBA's 25bps increase.

The bank said its standard variable mortgage rate would increase by 30bps today for new customers and on Friday for existing customers.

Its new SVR will be 6.69%.

To date NAB remains the only bank to have stuck with matching the RBA's official monetary policy.

Westpac pushed up rates by 45bps, CBA by 37bps and ANZ by 35bps. Bankwest raised rates by 35bps and St.George by 39bps.
