Mortgage manager attributes growth to commission software

By AB | 17 Sep 2008

National mortgage manager Nationwide Lending, which has added 100 brokers to its ranks since May, attributed its rapid growth to its commission-altering software.

Strategic business manager Craig Pickering said that the continued growth in broker numbers, which hit the 250 member milestone earlier in the month, was mainly due to Nationwide Lending's software which allows brokers to determine their own commission structure.

"Using our software, the majority of our accredited brokers are earning 1% upfront on the deals they submit to us," he said.

Nationwide Lending was granted an eight-year patent on the Ultimate Home Loan Calculator software, which is freely available to brokers from the company's website.

The mortgage manager also revealed plans to build on the existing software to expand upon the products that it already encompassed.
