    And the banks know this. Most borrowers would find that the rate they are paying has drifted up from the published rates available for new borrowers. Is this another overcharging scandal? Will the behaviour of these oligopolists ever be responsible, accountable and ethical?

    A lot of people don't remember important things like the date of their wedding anniversary, kids birthdays etc..
    Given these are far more important than the interest rate on a mortgage, why is this surprising?
    Totally agree with Dave. This is NOT news, nor news worthy.
