The MFAA has echoed warnings from Gadens Lawyers about the use of the term "independent" in describing the services provided by mortgage brokers, though many brokers are still using the term

So Mr Naylor are you typing away furiously on google? Or is the MFAA reactive instead of being proactive?

This Country is truly becoming weird - consider this:

Financial Planners flog a narrow product set of one companies financial products and yet they can get away with calling themselves "Financial Planners".... seriously, what a joke!

The biggest con job ever perpetuated on Australians' came in the form of an entire insurance industry re-branding itself.

Where once they were called Life Insurance/Assurance brokers, now we call them Financial Planners.... give me a break.

I'll take the NCCP seriously, when it finally acknowledges that "re-branding" does not make an insurance salesman a financial planner.

    Nice try Canberra.
