After a decade of next to no improvement in executive female numbers, with the mortgage and finance industry one of the worst offenders, Australia's key advocate for high-ranking businesswomen is blaming the problem on male executives referring "mates" for influential roles

Utter rubbish! Anyone running a business wants the best people at the top, they are not going to allow any competitor to get a competitive edge by omitting a woman from their team and see her go elsewhere. The answer is not "the boys club" it's the thing we all understand 'numbers' there are just so many males in the industry and fewer females.

Agree Broke, My last two jobs jobs were in companies dominated by female management. At the end of the day any business will employ the best person regardless of gender. The fact is many women take time out to raise a family and have no interest in executive careers. They one that do can do very well if they have the ability and drive. Nothing to do with gender.
