The FBAA will be undertaking a global review of mortgage broker commissions to help build a case to keep trail commissions in Australia

Not to mention the amount of work brokers do on a homeloan Free of Charge that may not go anywhere for numerous reason including low valuations. Yet Brokers have still undertaken all of the required compliance work and more to get to that stage.

Like the previous comment the work load of the broker has increased significantly both by the regulators and the lenders. The only benefit of removing trails would reduce brokers therefore removing competition in the market. Only the major banks have the capacity to setup their own distribution channels.
