We need to look at the big picture. Small measures like this are useful to the small few. The big issue is that we are not set up to move forward and instead we are hobbled by over regulation, Stamp Duties, property taxes and high intrest rates thanks to the Reserve Bank. There is virtually no incentive to build new houses for investement. Supply and demand is the major factor that needs to be addressed. Our Federal and State Goverments are doing a Lousy job at encouraging free enterprise. We have an ever increasing need for new homes for our young people and also our immigrants to live in and we are not producing enough and so we have high prices. This is a double whammy as we have high mortgages for the owner occupied properties and coupled with high interest rates. The whole system we are living under is not working. Hello is any one listening?
