A broker whose company fell victim to con artists has slammed ASIC's response to the matter, and urged brokers in similar situations to go over the regulator's head

Just another example of how ASIC seem only interested in the soft targets and those that would be worthy of a media release.

I have to agree with you James, a classic example of how an honest broker is left to deal with the fall out of a legal system that only cares about headlines and neglects to tackle fraudulent consumer and commercial activity.

ASIC is nothing more than a revenue collector. Still disappoints me to see the 'soft' targets that ASIC hangs its hat on rather than getting deep and dirty to really weed out the unprofessional.

Mr. Abbott. This is another reason we don`t need ASIC. The saving to the nation woul be immense.

Not surprised with Asics action/or should I say lack off. I reported to AsIC an accountant recommended a SMSF to a client with $20000 is his account two months ago- no action taken. Well done ASIC

I am all for regulation but ASIC has repeatedly failed in its responsibilities - it has not just let the public down, but the entire financial services industry

ASIC and those in there are an absolute joke
