A big bonus may just kill you

A number of high profile CEOs in Australia have turned down bonuses recently, and Australian Broker may just have found out why.

 
According to researchers in the US, you're 2.5% more likely to die the week after receiving a major bonus or commission.
 
The University of Maryland study from the US found the increased mortality rates were clear amongst newly cashed-up 25 to 64-year-olds.
 
Apparently, it correlates with the fast cars, champagne binges and water-skiing lump sums encourage.

    I would like to volunteer to be tested with a large lump sum bonus to see if I kark it or make it! I will let you know.
