Fourty per cent growth in Bibby Financial Services' debtor finance business over the past 12 months has led to a string of new sales appointments as the group targets further growth.

To head up the sales push, Gary Green has been promoted to national head of sales after two years as WA state manager for business development, where he grew the state's books by 40%. Green said he would focus on working with referral partners, and convincing SMe's of the benefits of debtor finance in the current market climate.

In NSW, the group has appointed Rob Daunoras as NSW state manager of business development, on the basis of his commercial finance and banking experience at GE Commercial, Volkswagen Finance, ANZ and NAB.

Bibby's WA and NSW operations have also added new BDM-level staffers, with Rick Twist joining as a business development manager in NSW, and Nigel Thayer becoming a senior BDM in WA.

Bibby's managing director, Greg Charlwood, said the firm's growth is coming as SME's feell the burden of restricted bank lending, and that it expects the debtor finance industry to jump by 20% over the coming 12 months.
