CBA has confirmed that, after almost 20 years, Kathy Cummings, executive general manager of Third Party and Mobile Banking (TPMB) has decided to leave the major bank.

“In her time with the Group, Kathy has made a significant contribution to the Retail Bank. She has always been a great collaborator and has worked tirelessly for the good of her customers, brokers and her team,” says retail banking services group executive, Matt Comyn.

Following Kathy’s departure, the Mobile Banking team led by James Sheffield will return to the branch network under Lyn McGrath, executive general manager retail sales.

Lyn Cobley, executive general manager of retail products and customers will assume responsibility for the Sales Support & Channel Development led by Simon Elwig; and the Broker Sales Service and Cross Sell team led by Sam Boer.

The changes will be effective from January 1, 2014.

“Kathy has led the rapid growth of our Third Party business, which has been recognised as the market leader for many years. As a pioneer in the mortgage broking industry more broadly, Kathy has served on a number of industry bodies including chair positions with MFAA Board from 2002-2009,” says Comyn.

“In 2010, Kathy also assumed responsibility for our Mobile Banking team, repositioning the business as a key source of customer acquisition whilst simultaneously reaching record customer satisfaction levels.”

Comyn says Cummings will assist with transitioning of the team and remain with the group until the end of the year.
