The FBAA has announced that well-known comedian and television personality, Vince Sorrenti, will MC the association’s 2013 Annual National Industry Conference in November.

Sorrenti has entertained everyone from ‘prime ministers to PNG highlanders, Hollywood celebrities to trade unionists, and cardinals to wall street bankers’, according to his official website.

“In 2011, Vince Sorrenti won the coveted Mo Award for Australia’s Best Stand-Up Comic for the fourth time. No comic is in more in demand for everything from after dinner speaking to product launches, sports hospitality, awards ceremonies and any manner of corporate, fundraising, sporting or public event. Vince performs at over 200 events a year in Australia and overseas.”

But the big names don’t stop there, with Alan Jones (the race car driver, not the shock jock) named as the dinner’s guest speaker.

The FBAA says Jones is one of the world’s best known Formula One drivers, winning the 1980 World Championship before switching to Australian touring cars and clinching the Australian Sports Sedan & GT Championship in 1982.

FBAA CEO, Peter White, says the conference was already destined to be the highlight of the year for the finance broking industry, but these speakers will add an extra level of entertainment.

“This conference will provide real and beneficial information for all finance professionals and will include eight hours of CPD, but it’s also a time to recharge, relax and take a well-earned family break,” he says.

“We are thrilled to have people of the calibre of Vince Sorrenti and Alan Jones and I hope no one misses this event.”
