My Local Broker has announced a key appointment ahead of its official business launch in April.

Tyler Smith has been appointed as head of innovation, effective 29 February, and will work alongside the CEO leading the ongoing development of Chief software, My Local Broker’s exclusive broker platform.

Smith and his team will work directly with NEXTGEN to identify custom integrations for Chief and work with core businesses to assist in growth strategies.

My Local Broker CEO Jaci Smith says Smith’s appointment will ensure that Chief will be at the forefront of broker platforms.

“It’s another big win for us. We share the same vision for the future of broker software,” she said.

Smith has an extensive background in technology and consulting, with best part of a decade in the banking, finance and mortgages space.

Prior to joining My Local Broker, he was the head of sales for Stargate, a Rubik company, managing most of Stargate’s major banking and aggregation customers along with strategic involvement in product roadmap for Symmetry CRM and other Stargate products, including ANZ’s Toolkit.
