The FBAA has arranged a collection of clothes, goods and vouchers for the victims of the New South Wales bushfires and is asking brokers across Australia to support the move.

CEO Peter White says the association will send all collected goods on Friday to the Penrith RSL sub branch, where staff and volunteers will distribute them directly to families in need.

“At times like this, it’s important we all support each other and I know that finance brokers will dig deep to make a difference,” he says.

The FBAA will send polo shirts and caps, with FBAA staff contributing clothes and gift vouchers. White says even small gifts add up.

“If every broker sent something, the end result will be a contribution that will positively impact the lives of people who have suffered immeasurable loss and heartache.”

Brokers can send goods to the FBAA National Office – First floor, 386 Logan Rd, Stones Corner QLD 4120.

White says he understands if brokers in parts of Australia closer to the fires prefer to send donations direct.

“The important thing is not who is sending these goods, but that we all do something for our fellow Australians.”
