The FBAA has announced the details of its annual national conference and gala dinner.

After the success of last year’s conference at the Gold Coast’s Sea World Resort, the FBAA is heading back to the tourism hotspot for the one day conference on Friday November 13, themed “year of distinction”.

However, this year the conference will be held in the resort’s new multi-million dollar 1,000 seat conference centre.

FBAA chief executive Peter White says all FBAA members should get in early and book, and strongly urges other industry professionals to come along as well.

“We work hard to produce an annual conference that provides a high level of personal development as well as the opportunity to network and relax,” he said.

The format will remain the same with industry speakers, gala dinner, free conference registration for FBAA members and an affordable fee for non-members.

The showcase expo will also continue to be a major part of the conference, says White.

This year’s guest speakers will include former test cricketer Max Walker as master of ceremonies, marketing guru Debbie Mayo-Smith, stylist Joshua Heath, and TeamCorp’s Tony Wilson.

The “gangsters gala” themed gala dinner will then head across to Movie World, following to conclusion of the conference. The FBAA will be turning Movie World into a 1920s boardwalk street themed party complete with rides, gangsters, flappers, a casino and an auction.

There are also optional period costumes, and transport has been arranged for attendees to and from the venue with discount accommodation also provided by Sea World Resort.
