First home buyers 'happy and diligent'

Mortgage Choice’s annual First Homeowners Survey has revealed buyers are happier with their decisions, less likely to have regrets and are more diligent.

It showed buyers were viewing 21 properties on average before making their decisions.
Furthermore, one in four respondents claimed to view more than 21 properties, with 8% viewing 50 or more.
“The fact that people are viewing so many properties before making a purchase is a positive,” said Mortgage Choice spokesperson Belinda Williamson.
She said the “diligence” is paying off, with only 18% admitting to having regrets after purchasing.
