A major bank is celebrating the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival with special customer promotions.
Until 28 September, Westpac is offering term deposit and reward saver offers that are linked to a 'Full Moon Rewards' lucky draw.
Customers who open a new Reward Saver (and deposit at least $50) or Term Deposit (minimum deposit of $5,000) account at any participating Westpac branch by 28th September 2012 could win one of five $1000 Flight Centre gift cards.
Crown Mortgage Solutions general manager Ben Gao said the flight center gift card was a good offer.
"It's a great motivator to save more for a large deposit, especially with most Chinese clients travelling frequently," he told Australian Broker.
"I believe this campaign helps Westpac build closer relationships with Chinese brokers and customers."
Gao went on to say that partnerships have been assisted by recent Westapc efforts to create a Chinese mortgage package brochure.
"I think its awesome, no other lender has a brochure and its translated all in language, making Chinese customers feel very comfortable with banking in Australia, and Westpac obtaining a very solid reputation in the local Chinese community."
Westpac general manager of mortgage distribution, Tony MacRae, said the bank understands supporting customers is important to brokers.
"The changing face of Australia's population is reflected in Westpac's Mid-Autumn Festival campaign," he said.
"It celebrates the rich diversity of the Chinese community, one of the fastest growing communities in the nation. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to foster greater awareness and recognition of the Chinese community in Australia, I'm personally delighted that we are able to promote and engage with this campaign to a key customer segment."
