Only one week to go before the Reserve Bank of Australia meets again to discuss the prospect of raising rates for a fourth time in a row and economists are tipping an increase is likely.

Over the last few weeks positive reports on jobs, consumer confidence and house prices indicate Australia is well on its way to making a recovery.

The financial market betting on another 25 basis point rate increase is at 67%, according to the Herald Sun.

The only core piece of data missing is on inflation which could affect the RBA's decision.
