Macquarie has announced the launch of its ‘Little Black Book’ app for Android devices

Macquarie’s technical specialist team, MAStech, has announced its free-to-download, ‘Little Black Book’ app for financial services professionals, including brokers, which is now available for Android-based devices.

The lender says the Little Black Book Apple iOS version of the app has been downloaded 20,000 times since October, 2012 and is a technical guide containing taxation, superannuation and social security facts and figures regularly required by financial services professionals.

The current version includes the latest age pension and aged care rates and thresholds that came into effect on March 20, 2013. The app is updated each year on March 20, July 1 and September 20 to coincide with the updates to rates and thresholds.

Head of MAStech, David Barrett, says feedback continues to be positive.

“In providing almost immediate access to essential facts and figures on a smart-phone or tablet, the Little Black Book app means one less reference source financial services professionals need to carry with them. We see smart-phones and tablets as important communication funnels for use with financial services professionals going forward and we’re keen to provide the tools and information they need via these mediums.”

The Apple iOS app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 5.0 or later. The latest version (4.2) is located in Apple’s App Store by searching for ‘MAStech’. Alternatively, if you have downloaded the app previously, you can tap the ‘updates’ icon in the App Store and locate the new version in the updates screen.

The Little Black Book Android app is compatible with Android 4 (ice cream sandwich) and above, and can be downloaded from Google Play by searching for ‘MAStech’.
