Finance specialist and mortgage brokerage Resolve Finance has announced the recruitment of a former big bank head into its leadership team.

Coming over from ANZ, Glenn Haslam will join the brokerage as general manager of operations. He enters the company with more than 25 years of banking experience after leading the transformation of ANZ’s retail and commercial divisions.

The role is a newly created one with Resolve running without a dedicated senior operations role for a number of years. Managing director Don Crellin told Australian Broker that he was delighted to have Haslam on board.

“Glenn has deep broker and mortgage industry experience and proven record of growing and transforming businesses. With the finance and broking industry continually changing, coupled with Resolve’s track record of innovation and product development, it was important to us that we continue to invest in the business to stay ahead of the curve.”

Haslam will focus on facilitating and implementing changes to the business and preparing Resolve for further growth, Crellin said.

“In addition to this, he will identify and implement ways to improve the integration of each division within Resolve Finance and ways to improve and refine the customer journey.

“Glenn will be working with our brokers to truly understand their needs, and to facilitate change that will allow them to streamline processes and ensure they spend more time servicing and retaining their customers, and ensuring they receive a complete finance solution.”

To begin with, Haslam’s primary focus has been to immerse himself into the business to understand how the firm’s wider broker proposition comes together to meet its customers’ financial needs, Crellin said.
