Major bank sees major reshuffle of broker team

by Adam Smith19 Apr 2013

A major bank has seen a third-party reshuffle that moves two industry stalwarts up the executive chain and away from the broker channel.
NAB has announced that executive general manager of growth partnerships Antony Cahill and general manager of broker distribution John Flavell will move into new executive roles with the bank. Cahill will become executive general manager of digital and direct, while Flavell has been promoted to executive general manager of wealth advice.
Former executive general manager of business operations for NAB Personal Banking Anthony Waldron will replace Cahill, with Flavell's replacement to be announced shortly. Waldron praised Cahill and Flavell's contribution to the broker channel.
"Antony and John are well respected in the industry and will continue to provide great leadership for NAB in their new roles."
Waldron stressed the importance of the broker channel to the bank's strategy, and said NAB was "committed to continuing the great growth momentum" through the third party.

Sad to see John Flavell move from the broker distribution chanel, John is seen as a real friend of the broker network and his initiatves have made all competitors get closer to brokers.
On the other hand I wish John continued satisfaction in his new role, he Certainly deserves the promotion
