Loan Market announced ANZ as its Lender of the Year at its annual conference in Melbourne.
The major, which has suffered from dwindling consumer satisfaction levels recently, was cited as a consistently strong performer for Loan Market brokers, showing its might within the intermediary market.
Meanwhile, New Zealand broker Bruce Patton took out International Broker of the Year, settling $99.5m in 2011/12.
He told the audience NZ would only grow over the coming year, "matching [Australia] not by state but by country."
Closer to home, Victoria-based Josh Bartlett was awarded International Rookie of the Year.
Bartlett was previously the owner of a successful gym before being head hunted by Loan Market.
