A non-bank lender has tapped an industry veteran to fill one of its top roles.

Homeloans announced last week its general manager, Greg Mitchell, would be departing. The lender has now announced Holmes' role will be filled by former PLAN Australia and ALI Group CEO Ray Hair.

“We are thrilled that Ray is joining the Homeloans team,” Homeloans CEO Scott McWilliam said. “His well-honed industry knowledge and insights, astute commercial skills and proven leadership skills perfectly complement our business and the direction we are taking."

Hair said he was "pleased and excited" to be taking on a role working closely with brokers.

“The continued increase in the use of brokers in Australia is testament to the level of service, advice and value provided by brokers to consumers. I am looking forward to once again working closely with these important, passionate and committed small business owners," he said.
