An independent non-bank lender brings home recognition at the IAIR Awards in Hong Kong

Non-bank lender State Custodians has won the award for Best Company for Innovation and Leadership Home Loan Solutions Asia Pacific at the 2015 International Alternative Investment Review (IAIR) awards in Hong Kong.

The non-bank claimed the award for their leadership in the home loan sector and innovation in providing a wide range of loans to suit different borrowers.

State Custodians General Manager Gavin Smith accepted the award in Hong Kong and was pleased that in a market dominated by the big banks, that a non-bank lender could receive this type of recognition.

“State Custodians has indeed been very successful in winning awards in Australia, but this is our first international recognition.”

He said the award was for their customers, 96% of whom have said they were happy to recommend Sate Custodians, according to a 2014 settlement survey result.

“Our awards help reinforce the choice our Customers made when selecting a State Custodians home loan,” Smith said.

In 2014/15, State Custodians received several other accolades, including Money Magazine Non-Bank Lender of the Year for an unprecedented four consecutive years.

In February 2015, State Custodians was a finalist alongside ANZ, Commonwealth Bank & Westpac Bank for ‘Best Customer Experience’ at the Annual Australian Lending Awards in Sydney.

Over 50 companies were recognised from Asia Pacific on the night, run in partnership with the Financial Times, Harvard Business Review, The Economist and other global financial magazines.
