A leading non-conforming lender has extended its product range with the launch of its first prime mortgage product.

Pepper announced yesterday the launch of its newest product, Pepper Essential.

Pepper’s director of sales and distribution, Mario Rahayem, says the product was created in response to demand from brokers looking for a competitive prime product that meets the needs of their clients who require a more flexible assessment than that offered by traditional prime lenders.

“In 2013, over two thirds of new Pepper customers had a ‘clean’ credit history,” says Rahayem.

“Whenever I present this stat it always gets the attention of brokers as many of them still perceive that specialist lending is only about credit impairment.

“Pepper Essential is the perfect opportunity for brokers who have never dealt with Pepper to give us a go, experience our first class service, and learn about how we can help more of their clients.”

Pepper says it will remain focused on the specialist segment as its core business and has put in place a bolstered broker support team to service its newly extended product range.

“Key appointments have already been made across the broker support, credit and settlements teams, including a new regional sales manager in Justin Dale and two new relationship managers, available for all product and policy queries when brokers need answers within a tight time frame,” says Rehayem.

“As such we are confident of maintaining our high service standards, while delivering on our promise to create more options for our brokers and customers as we move into 2014.”
