Perth’s bargain buys have been revealed, with figures from the Real Estate Institute of Western Australia (REIWA) showing the 10 suburbs where the median house price sits well below the city-wide mark.

The REIWA data comes from analysis of sales data in the 12 months to June 30 this year and has revealed 10 suburbs where median prices are at least $190,000 below the Perth’s overall median house price of $530,000.

Medina is Perth’s most affordable suburb, with houses carrying a median price tag of just $289,000.

It’s a three-way tie for scend place, with Calista, Camillo and Hillman all boasting a median price of $320,000.

Very little separates the next two on the list, with Armadale the next cheapest at $325,000, followed by Parmelia at $325,250.

Brookdale is the next on the list with a median of $330,000,

Orelia, Cooloongup and Leda then round out the list, all holding a median price tag of $340,000.

While the locations might look attractive, there may be some obvious cause for concern as the 10 suburbs are the same 10 that featured in 2014’s version of the same list.
