A new FBAA partnership allows brokers to obtain documentation such as police checks, bankruptcy checks and credit checks in a little as 24 hours

Brokers can obtain documentation such as police checks, bankruptcy checks and credit checks in a little as 24 hours following the announcement by the FBAA of a partnership with CVCheck, a verification services provider.

FBAA chief executive officer Peter White says the partnership will revolutionise and streamline the appointment process.

“It will be so much faster. For example, it normally takes up to 3 weeks to get a police check, but through CVCheck, brokers can get them in as little as 24 hours.

“All forms are completed online, eliminating the need to visit police stations to pick up and hand in forms. This reduces time and cost of travel.”

Brokers also need to provide this documentation upon joining the FBAA and when renewing their membership, White said.

“While we have required supply of police, bankruptcy and credit checks for decades, we will now be using the CVCheck process as an option for members.

“I’m aware of claims of broking candidates forging police checks, so anything that prevents fraud is good for the industry.”

CVCheck documents are sent via a secure link.
