Start-up aggregator officially launches

by Julia Corderoy06 Apr 2016
Challenger aggregator My Local Broker has officially launched its technology-driven retail and aggregation business.

The start-up, which signed an aggregation agreement with Vow Financial earlier this year, celebrated their official arrival to the industry with the cutting of the ribbon at their unveiling event on Monday.

In attendance was an exclusive group of mortgage brokers and lenders, with many more tuning in across Australia via a live stream.

The event, hosted by Vow’s head of commercial and leasing, Glenn Mitchell, gave people a first look at My Local Broker and New Age Broker.

The event also unveiled Chief Software for the first time, a new CRM purpose-built by My Local Broker for its mortgage brokers.

“It’s taken eight years, millions of dollars of investment and plenty of hard work to get to this point,” My Local Broker, CEO Jaci Smith said.

“I’m thrilled to finally deliver what brokers have been asking for.”

My Local Broker will be visiting all major cities as part of the MFAA Broker 2020 series to launch their business nationally.

An aggregator that accesses lenders through an aggregator? No, that's not an aggregator, that's a brokerage!

It's what they call a sub aggregator. Good luck hopefully this will shake the competition soon!!

    Hi Manly Boy,
We are a sub-aggregator - why, because we are a startup and we wanted to give our brokers the same level of commissions they enjoy at other aggregators, and secondly the confidence around commission payments. To be clear, our arrangement with Vow is purely for lender access and payment of commissions. We enjoy working beside Vow, our ideals are aligned. In relation to a brokerage, don't know many that have built their own software platforms from the ground up. Thanks for your feedback though, we like the opportunity to clear any misconceptions. Feel free to drop on by!
