Sydney-based brokerage Mint Equity has expanded its team by welcoming finance and mortgage professional Shane Marini.

Marini brings six years of experience in financial advice and mortgage broking and will be supporting the firm’s clients with home loans, commercial and business finance across Sydney, Lower North Shore, Newcastle and Central Coast regions.

Initially working in foreign exchange, Marini became a mortgage broker in 2014. He comes to Mint Equity looking for a career that aligns with his professional and personal ethics.

“I’ve always made sure my clients' needs are at the forefront of what I do. I don’t ever want to work for someone where you have to push products on clients to hit targets, and Mint Equity has the same ethos,” he said.

Director Zac Peteh was impressed by Marini and his background.

“We’ve built a great reputation and a loyal client base so it is important that our mortgage brokers have the skills, knowledge and personality to complement the business. Shane’s finance background means he can see the big picture and think ahead for clients, ensuring they get the right finance for their lifestyle,” he said.

During his broking career, Marini has built up a footprint of clients and referrers across Sydney, the Central Coast and Newcastle.

“The beauty of being a mobile mortgage broker is that you can support clients at the location of their choosing. Whether it be at their home, a cafe, their office or even via Skype if they are interstate or overseas,” he said.

Marini will be based at Mint Equity’s head office in Somersby with the rest of the team.

“I’m looking forward to leveraging the fine-tuned systems and processes that Mint Equity has developed. Knowledge, speed and efficiency are key for clients, so having a great support crew around you helps alleviate the pain points for clients.”
