First home saver accounts are to be abolished under the Budget in a move that will hit the already-struggling group hard. Opinion is mixed across the country as to whether the Budget has been too austere

How are first home buyers being "hit hard" by abolishing accounts which were not being used. the take up rate was miniscule. It was a very poorly thought out policy to introduce these and was tokenistic.

Its to hard these days even bother with buying a house. A couple earning 100k a year with 2 kids will find them self saving for years and years with the price of child care and school fee's. Maybe its time to look at letting first home buyers access part of there super to help with deposits, we all know super is for long term investments well so is a house.
