Major bank offers $1,000 refinance rebate

by Julia Corderoy24 Nov 2014
Westpac is offering a $1,000 refinance rebate for new home loans. The offer, leaked to Australian Broker by an anonymous broker source, is for all new consumer home or investment loan applications submitted from Monday 24 November where the loan purpose is an external refinance.

The $1,000 rebate is not available for the refinance of an existing Westpac home/investment loan and only one rebate payment is available per new refinance application, regardless of number of loans being refinanced in that application

The loan must settle by Wednesday 31st December 2014 and the $1,000 rebate will be automatically credited into the customer’s loan account within two months of settlement.

Brokers must use the code $1,000 Dec14 Refi Rebate in both the online submission comments and also on the Introducer Application Pack.

Lodgement from 24/11 and settlement before 31/12? They are not serious about it.
