An Australian banker has been appointed to take the helm of NAB-owned Bank of New Zealand.

NAB announced this morning on the ASX that Anthony Healy will take over on 12 May as managing director and CEO.

Since 2009 Healy has been head of BNZ’s business bank, BNZ Partners. Before joining BNZ, Healy worked for ANZ, and has also worked as CEO of UDC Finance.

Healy replaces Andrew Thorburn, who was recently appointed as NAB’s new CEO.
