A banking veteran will be joining the PCF Group as its new Queensland state director.

Rob Thomas (pictured above) joins the PCF Group (which includes aggregator brands PLAN Australia, Choice Aggregation and FAST) to offer the group’s Queensland broker network greater access to knowledge, leadership and support.

Thomas will commence his new role with PCF Group on December 12 and has worked in banking and broking for more than two decades, including 11 years with AMP Bank in area manager, state manager and BDM roles.

Thomas said in his new role, he would be an advocate for the group’s brokers both internally and externally.

“First and foremost, I am going to get a deep understanding of their businesses, then I can be a resource that they can rely on,” Thomas said.

“The state’s PCF Group brokers can come to me with any issues within their business or the wider third-party channel – whether it’s commissions, issues with lenders or training. We’ll be looking to give them a much broader range of training offerings and will offer a stable, visible and supportive presence in the Queensland market.”

Thomas said he was excited to further extend PCF’s reputation in Queensland and could see opportunities to drive growth in key regional areas.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity because PCF in Queensland has real growth potential. The group’s compliance keeping the brokers safe and their technology is the best in the market, as are their people.”

Thomas said he was really looking forward to working with Queensland’s PCF Group brokers.

“They are a bunch of entrepreneurs who are having a red-hot crack at business. They’ve gone out and backed themselves to have a go and they’ve succeeded. Being around people who want to better themselves and back their abilities is really exciting.”

PCF Group managing director Stephen Moore said he was pleased to confirm that Thomas would be appointed to this senior role within the group.

“Rob is a proven business leader with a fantastic industry reputation and is particularly keen to join us,” Moore said.

“We are committed to supporting brokers throughout Queensland and Rob's energy, enthusiasm and breadth of experience will be highly valued from lending through to his time as a broker. Rob says he is looking forward to working with the Queensland Partnership Manager team including Glenn Humphrey, Wendy Ford and Aaron Duncan as we build out the team and look forward to spending time with brokers across the group to support them into the future."
