The head of one independent aggregator has been selected to lead an online series drilling down to the truth in the broking and finance space.

Tanya Sale, CEO of Outsource Financial, told Australian Broker that she was chosen by online learning consultancy No More Practice to conduct interviews in this four-show series, entitled The Truth with Tanya.

“Their audience includes financial planners, accountants, mortgage brokers, and the like. They approached me because I’d done some thought leadership programs with them prior to this.”

On the first show, which airs on 28 September, Sale will interview executive director of the Finance Brokers Association of Australia (FBAA), Peter White, about the Sedgwick report.

“Peter has been very, very proactive in our area in relation to not only the ASIC review but also the Sedgwick report. He’s been quite vocal about things that are happening. I thought he would be a fantastic person to interview first.”

While Sale could not divulge information about the other people due to appear on the show, she expressed her excitement about what the series would bring.

“It’s an opportunity to really drill down and get the truth at the end of the day,” she said. “There is so much smoke and mirrors and getting to the truth sometimes is really hard. I believe it shouldn’t be that hard.”

The ultimate aim of the show is to bring greater transparency around what is going on in the industry as well as educating brokers on a range of topics, she said.

“Brokers will get educated on exactly what’s happening by listening to people who are at the core of these things. They will learn the truth of what’s going on and not just what they read which may or may not be the full story.”

The Truth with Tanya will be available to watch for free on the No More Practice website from 28 September.
