A former Commonwealth Bank relationship executive has joined a fintech to encourage growth in the third party online referral channel.

Cameron Parker originally started his career with ING Bank in early 2003, before moving to CBA and Royal Bank of Scotland. He was then business development manager with Latitude Financial before joining the fintech business Financemi.

He has been appointed to the role of national sales director responsible for direct and third party distribution.

Most recently Parker was the Western Australia relationship manager for personal loans and asset finance for Latitude Financial but has also previously held national sales manager roles in both London and Australia.

This new role is initially all about encouraging growth in the third party online referral channel and then growth in other areas.

Financemi CEO Michael Lim said, “Cameron brings a wealth of experience to the business, particularly in the third party banking and sales areas.

"It is a huge win for us and we look forward to the opportunities Cameron will bring to the business. He is a welcome addition to our senior executive group.”

Parker said he was excited about the opportunities that were open to Financemi in the online space and the exponential growth they can achieve in the third party referrals sector.

He added, “My career focus has been on the mortgage broker space primarily in commercial lending, so growing this channel for Financemi in personal loans initially and business secondly, will be a great opportunity for me personally and I can’t wait to sit in the seat.”

Parker will be based at Financemi’s Head Office in Perth, the city he currently lives in with his wife and three children.
