Brokers are being urged to join the industry leaders who are making waves at the upcoming 2023 Australian Mortgage Awards.

Mark your calendars for Friday, October 13, as this spectacular tribute to outstanding achievements is on the horizon. Hosted by comedian Merrick Watts, the AMAs will bring together the industry's finest at the renowned Star Event Centre in Sydney, creating an unforgettable evening.

With an impressive 670 tickets already sold, there is only a limited supply left for this exclusive black-tie gala dinner. However, brokers and their teams can still secure their seats or book tables for up to 10 people through the Australian Mortgage Awards website.

Why industry recognition matters

This year's event boasts an impressive lineup of finalists, including some industry veterans at the peak of their profession and some rising stars who are leading the charge for the next generation.

Suvidh Arora (pictured above left), CEO of Cinch Loans, said being a finalist for the Bankwest New Brokerage of the Year award was a “tremendous honour and “thrilling achievement”.

“It's a validation of the time and effort we've invested in establishing Cinch Loans. Industry recognition is crucial, particularly early in our business voyage,” Arora said. “It enhances not only the morale of our team but also our credibility in the competitive mortgage market.”

“This acknowledgement confirms that we are on the correct track and encourages us to work even harder.”

Arora said that it was not “just about the accolades” when it came to industry recognition, it was about “establishing trust with clients”.

“When potential customers see that we've been recognised by industry leaders, it lends credibility to our brand. It inspires confidence that they are selecting a trustworthy, knowledgeable, and innovative brokerage.”

Damien Roylance (pictured above right) said that he was ecstatic that his pride and joy, Entourage, has been nominated again for the Commonwealth Bank Top Brokerage of the Year award.

“As a business we've grown every year since we began, which is very exciting and satisfying. From the beginning we've consistently invested time into entering these industry awards and we've seen great success as a result,” said Roylance.

An industry and AMA veteran, Royland hopes to stand upon the AMA stage once more after Entourage took out the award last year.

“It gives us the credibility to attract new clients and, just as importantly, to attract great staff.”

The event also enjoys sponsorship from industry leaders, including Adelaide Bank, ANZ, Bankwest, Bluestone Home Loans, Commonwealth Bank, Equity-One, FBAA, Firstmac, Gateway Bank, Hays, La Trobe Financial, LBH, Liberty, MFAA, Mortgage Choice, Mortgage Street, OnDeck, Pepper Money, PropTrack, Q2, Rate Money, Resimac, and ubank.

FINSTREET is the VIP post-awards event sponsor. PRPTY 360 also adds sparkle as the champagne sponsor. Fifo Capital steps up as the photo booth sponsor, and Maxiron Capital joins the celebration as the social media sponsor.

The festivities commence in the evening with pre-awards socialising and networking over drinks, starting at 7pm. Guests will savour a delectable three-course dinner before the awards presentation unfolds.

The dance floor will come alive at 10.45 pm, with live music performed by the band and entertainment sponsor, SongDivision, ensuring that the mortgage magic continues until midnight.

Arora said that he can’t wait to attend the ceremony and revel with the industry’s elite.

“It is an excellent opportunity to network with peers, learn from the finest, and celebrate our collective accomplishments,” Arora said. “We are excited for the event and appreciative of the opportunity to demonstrate Cinch Loans' commitment to excellence in the mortgage industry.”
