Australia’s largest survey of property investors is currently underway to measure market sentiment after one extremely tough year for real estate.

The 2017 Property Investor Sentiment Survey is being conducted by Australian Broker’s sister title, Your Investment Property, in partnership with Michael Yardney’s Property Update.

The survey aims to provide a rich understanding of what’s driving investors at the moment, said Sarah Megginson, editor of Your Investment Property.

“The last 12 to 18 months have been a massive learning curve for investors and mortgage brokers alike, as we've had to continually adapt to APRA-led changes, which are having a huge impact on investors in particular. Our investor survey will give us some insights into investors’ biggest pain points moving forward.”

Questions will focus on property investors’ plans, where they’re planning to buy and how they have been affected by lending policy changes.

While every investor is on their own journey, it’s always insightful to know what other property investors are doing, where they are buying, and how they expect markets to perform in the short-term,” said Yardney, director of Metropole Property Strategists.

The survey can be accessed by clicking here and will take less than three minutes to complete. Respondents will receive exclusive early access to the results – a unique advantage for brokers targeting investors or who are investors themselves.

Trends uncovered will include where investors go for advice (such as brokers), how many properties investors own, which strategies are more popular, the influence cash flow has on business decisions, and the types of properties people are buying.

The survey closes soon on 25 November so do it now and don’t miss out.
