Non-bank lender Brighten Home Loans has announced the appointment of Mikai Ning (pictured above) as national strategic partnerships manager.

A skilled sales professional, Ning’s areas of expertise include portfolio management, relationship management, business development, and multi-channel sales. She joined Brighten in 2017 as a business development manager and was most recently senior business development manager. Ning has more than a decade of financial services experience, having worked nearly four years at ANZ and three years at Commonwealth Bank.

In her new role, Ning will work alongside Chris Meaker, national sales manager, to drive the expansion of the lender’s distribution network through strategic partnerships, reaching new markets both domestically and internationally.

Ning’s role was newly created following a period of rapid growth for the business, with Brighten’s loan origination volume surging 91% year-on-year, on the back of three successful RMBS transactions and securing additional funding lines.

Brighten also marked several other major growth milestones in 2022, including increasing its global headcount by more than 42%, the formation of three additional mortgage aggregator partnerships with Finsure, outsource Financial, and Purple Circle, expanding its distribution network to more than 15,000 brokers Australia-wide, and expanding its product suite to include Expat home loans.

Ning said that Brighten’s relentless growth reflects the non-bank lender’s growing popularity among brokers and customers seeking an effective and an alternative lending solution.

“I am thrilled to embark on an exciting chapter as I step into this new role at Brighten,” Ning said. “My goal is to build upon the strong foundation of partnerships we have established and explore new opportunities for further growth and success. I look forward to working with my colleagues to continue delivering superior service and continue to support our valued broker partners.”
