A landmark property on Mount Panorama, Bathurst is set to go under the hammer Nov. 17 with a price guide of $5 million, offering motorsport enthusiasts and luxury property seekers an opportunity to “own a piece of iconic Australian racing history … all while indulging in contemporary luxury.”

This was according to Grant Maskill-Dowton, director of Raine & Horne Bathurst, who listed for sale a five-acre 457 Conrod Straight property that boasts views of the world-renowned Mount Panorama racing circuit, which just this weekend hosted the historic 60th running of The Great Race, the 2023 Repco Bathurst 1000.

Grant Maskill-Dowton said the property is tipped to capture the interest of both local and international buyers, given his prior success in selling a neighbouring property to an international racing car driver, as well as for the property’s fair price.

“It is one of the fantastic properties around the famous track, and the owners have not spared any expense in building this one-of-a-kind property,” he said.

“From the moment you step onto this sprawling five-acre estate, you’ll be immersed in the thrill of motorsport, with a front-row seat to events like the Bathurst 1000 and Bathurst 12 Hour,” Maskill-Dowton said. “However, when the engines aren’t roaring, you can enjoy the tranquillity of the surrounding countryside and explore the historic town of Bathurst.”

The property features a luxurious main house and a separate guest cottage. Inside the main house is an open-concept kitchen, a chef’s kitchen with high-end appliances, a media/theatre room, a 15m lap pool, and a separate study/home office with custom cabinetry, and seamless indoor/outdoor entertaining areas.

The four-bedroom guest cottage, meanwhile, offers fully furnished separate accommodation and an extensive deck entertaining area with a BBQ and views over Bathurst towards the mountains.

The property also comes with landscaped grounds with established gardens and a large reflection pond and has a town water supply plus a 131,000-litre water tank, bore, and an Ecco septic system.

“457 Conrod Straight is the landmark property of Mount Panorama,” Maskill-Dowton said. “It stands out as one of the most amazing homes on the track, and we are just so excited to be involved in selling this slice of Bathurst 1000 history.”

Interest buyers are urged to contact Maskill-Dowton on 02 6331 6555 to arrange a private inspection of the property.
