MyState Bank has sent its strongest signal to date that it is a key player in the nationwide broker market by adding tow experienced channel operatives to its team.

The Tasmanian-based bank has appointed 35-year veteran Tony Stiles and ex-NAB and St George BDM Ron Galvan to their teams in New South Wales and Victoria, continuing their strong growth on the Australian mainland.

Stiles is well known to brokers across NSW and Victoria after more than 20 years at NAB, and will bring all of that experience to bear in his new role at MyState.

“We’re extremely pleased to welcome Ron and Tony to the MyState Bank team,” said Blake Albones, head of lending distribution at MyState.

“Our bank is on a journey to be the leading bank in Tasmania and fastest growing lender right across Australia, and by adding exceptional talent like Ron and Tony to our team, we are providing brokers with more reasons to be excited to partner with MyState Bank.”

“In the last five years we have increased our loan book by 43%, and a significant proportion of that business has been brought to us through the broker channel. Last financial year, more than 80% of MyState Bank home loans were facilitated by brokers.”
