Thinktank Property Finance closed out 2025 by donating more than $337,000 to 34 charities across Australia, continuing a long-standing focus on community giving.
As in previous years, the lender invited broker partners to opt for charity donations instead of traditional end-of-year gifts. Thinktank contributed $100 on behalf of each broker to one of four charities – the Salvation Army, Foodbank, RSPCA, or Variety – allowing brokers to support causes that matter to them and broadening the overall impact.
Feedback from the broker network was strong.
“Congratulations to Thinktank – this is better than any gift. Inviting brokers to direct donations to charities they care about transforms a festive tradition into something that truly helps people," LMG Lending Team Leader Sam Ljujic (pictured left) said. "It speaks to your values, and we’re proud to be part of it.”
The strategy comes at a time when many households are under pressure. Recent Foodbank research shows around one in three Australian households have experienced food insecurity in the past year, driven by sustained cost-of-living pressures and worsening housing affordability.
Charitable contributions are also embedded in Thinktank’s regular operations. For every settled deal, the company donates $75 to charities chosen by staff, plus $25 to a special situations fund used to respond to emergencies and natural disasters.
Current charity partners include:
Thinktank CEO Jonathan Street said the organisation’s approach to giving is closely tied to its stated values.
“Charitable giving has always been woven into our reason for being, it’s part of who we are as a business,” Street said. “Our ethos has always been Into people. Not just transactions. Supporting those most in need within our communities is a natural component of that belief, and it’s something we’re committed to expanding.”
Working with broker partners and community organisations, Thinktank is aiming to expand these programs over time, with a focus on consistent, long-term support rather than one-off initiatives.
