Aggregator appoints new GM

One of the country's biggest aggregators has tapped a long-time leader as general manager of its white label division.

Former head of sales and operations for the own label division, Chris Slater, will be the new general manager of AFG Home Loans.
After eight years with the organisation, Slater went from National Account Manager to State Manager for NSW/ACT in 2008, to Head of Sales and Operations of AFG Home Loans in 2013.
AFG Managing Director Brett McKeon said Slater’s hands-on experience and intricate knowledge of the business were two key drivers of the appointment.
“AFG is a holistic provider of financial services and the AFG Home Loans division is a key plank of our business strategy.”
“Chris has been a key player in growing this part of our business,” McKeon said.
“Chris knows our business, knows our members and knows what needs to be done to deliver the results this part of the company is capable of.”
The focus of Slater’s role will be the strategic development, sales and general management of the emergent division within the company.
“AFG has given me some tremendous opportunities over the past eight years and to continue to be able to help drive the strategy for the AFG Home Loans division is something I’m very much looking forward to,” Slater said.
“He has played a central role in the development of our strategy to further expand and develop our core product line for AFG Home Loans and I look forward to working with Chris to realize the potential of this line of our business,” McKeon said.

Good for all. AFG, Brokers, Lenders and Chris.
Natural fit and great AFG don't need world wide searches to hand the baton to the highest and best person for the role.
