Bizcap has promoted long-time executive Rebecca del Rio (pictured) to deputy CEO for Asia-Pacific (APAC), a move the alternative lender said reflects her influence across the organisation since its formation in 2019. The appointment, announced Thursday, was confirmed through a company media release.
According to the news release, Del Rio will retain her position as global chief revenue officer, overseeing revenue strategy and driving commercial performance across Bizcap’s international markets. Her remit currently spans marketing, sales, partnerships, people and culture, analytics, innovation, and product.
Bizcap said it has funded $4.8 billion globally since launch, including $1.5 billion in 2025 alone. Its portfolio extends across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the UK, Europe, the US, and Canada. The lender’s expansion has been accompanied by rapid workforce growth, with global headcount rising more than 80% year on year.
As Bizcap entered new markets, del Rio’s responsibilities grew in parallel, providing her with insight across multiple regions. The company said the promotion supports a strengthened leadership structure that includes global chief operating officer Adam Szental and chief credit officer Tony Truong, alongside co-founders Zalman Blachman, Abraham White, and Albert Gafhi.
Blachman said del Rio has had a central role in the organisation’s development. “Rebecca has played a significant role in Bizcap’s journey and growth. Her commitment, expertise, and collaboration with our broader leadership team have helped shape who we are today. We’re excited to see her continue contributing to our collective success in this next chapter,” he said.
White highlighted her strategic influence and cultural impact within Bizcap. “It has been a privilege to see Rebecca’s vision and dedication contribute to Bizcap’s culture and strategic direction. She brings an energy that strengthens our leadership team, and I’m looking forward to all that’s ahead,” he said.
Del Rio said the appointment marks a continuation of her long-standing involvement with the firm. “I’m honoured to step into the role of deputy CEO for APAC. Having grown with Bizcap from day one, I’m deeply passionate about our mission, as well as our partners and customers,” she said.
The company stated that the enhanced leadership structure positions it to manage the next stage of international growth responsibly and cohesively.
