FBAA president Peter White has argued that the issues facing mortgage brokers transcend ties to an industry association.

White is urging the entire industry, not just their members, to come together and discuss the issues, challenges and triumphs affecting the financial services industry at the FBAA's upcoming conference on the Gold Coast.

White has labelled the conference “a landmark moment”.

“With the current interest rate movements and legislative tightening around the NCCP, now is a great time for brokers to learn how to maximise their revenue and service customers in new ways.” He said.

The one-day conference is themed “transform your thinking” and is set to challenge and encourage brokers and other finance professionals to think in ways that will build their businesses and the industry.

“Our aim is to show finance professionals that there are more opportunities for their businesses than what they may be doing now. We’ll be encouraging them to ask ‘what if?’ and leave with the resolve that ‘I am going to do’ or ‘I can be,’” White said.

The conference will be held at Sea World Resort on Queensland’s Gold Coast on November 14.
