A national financial literacy program delivered by mortgage and finance brokers has surpassed its initial targets and secured new industry sponsorship ahead of its Term 4 rollout across Australian schools.
The FIT Solutions program, co-founded by Victoria Coster and Beth Comino under Financial Literacy Education Pty Ltd, has onboarded 104 brokers and confirmed 68 schools for delivery or bookings in Term 4, according to a news release.
LoanOptions.ai, led by chief executive Julian Fayad, has signed on as a sponsor of the program. The company’s involvement is framed as a broker education and industry-impact partnership, with the loan comparison platform noting that the collaboration is not a consumer-facing initiative and does not introduce lending pathways or product promotion in classrooms.
The national rollout follows an earlier pilot phase. In 2025, the NSW Anglican School head office shared the program across its network schools, and a pilot was run across three schools in NSW. The Finance Brokers Association of Australia’s chief development officer, Joanna James, highlighted that the program would “provide the opportunity for brokers to make a difference in their community, by educating students in high schools.”
The program’s expansion comes as pressure mounts for a coordinated national response to financial literacy. In February, Ecstra Foundation led a call to action, urging the federal government to commit to a National Financial Capability and Wellbeing Strategy, citing falling financial literacy rates and the risk that young Australians would enter adulthood without essential money skills.
The program is designed for delivery to Year 10 students and covers budgeting, credit reporting, interest and savings, mortgages, and superannuation.
Fayad and Coster were jointly recognised with the Industry Supplier of the Year award at the 2025 Finance Brokers Association of Australia awards, alongside Credit Fix Solutions.
Approximately 100 brokers are undergoing training ahead of Term 4 2026, while dozens of schools are preparing to host the program.
