The Australian Mortgage Awards is gearing up for its 17th year of celebrating the industry’s top performers. Nominations are open until Friday 29 June.

Many of the awards recognise individual brokers and brokerages, with 14 categories open in this section. These are:

Brokerage Awards:

  • Bluestone Brokerage of the Year – Diversification
    This award recognises the brokerage that has implemented the most effective diversification business model.
  • ANZ Brokerage of the Year (1-5 Staff)
    Good things come in small packages. The number of staff includes all loan writers and support staff across all company offices/branches.
  • Brokerage of the Year (6-20 Staff)
    This category is for the middleweight champions.
  • Brokerage of the Year (>20 Staff)
    The best of the big players.
  • New Brokerage of the Year
    This award recognises the best brokerage office or branch that has been in operation for less than two years.
  • Best Customer Service from an Individual Office
    Customer service is an important measure of a business’s long-term sustainability and success. This award recognises the brokerage office or branch that has displayed excellence over the past 12 months in maintaining consistent and sustainable customer service standards.
  • Most Effective Online Presence – Broker
    The internet is an important medium for communication and day-to-day business transactions. This category recognises the brokerage business that has best harnessed this medium.

Broker Awards:

  • ANZ Broker of the Year – Commercial
    This award recognises the broker who specialises in commercial real estate, investment finance, SME/debtor finance, asset and leasing finance who has displayed excellence over the past 12 months.
  • FBAA Broker of the Year – Independent
    This award recognises the broker in an independent operation who has displayed excellence over the past 12 months.
  • ALI Group Broker of the Year – Insurance (Mortgage Protection & Life)
    This award recognises the broker who provides insurance (mortgage protection and life) as part of their overall offering and who has displayed excellence over the past 12 months.
  • Pepper Money Broker of the Year – Specialist Lending
    This award recognises the broker who has displayed excellence over the past 12 months in specialist lending.
  • Broker of the Year – Productivity
    This award recognises the broker who has focused on productivity improvements through increased office efficiencies and quality submissions over the past 12 months.
  • Young Gun of the Year (Franchise)
    This award recognises the franchise broker who has displayed excellence in their first two years as a mortgage broker.
  • Young Gun of the Year – Independent
    This award recognises the independent broker who has displayed excellence in their first two years as a mortgage broker.

Winners in these categories will also go into respective finalist pools for the Australian Broker of the Year, Australian Brokerage of the Year and Australian Young Gun of the Year.
