CBA has announced a new partnership with one of the peak bodies for small business advocacy in Australia, the Council of Small Business Organisations Australia (COSBOA).

The new linkup will see Australia’s biggest bank give regular updates to COSBOA’s membership via insights reports and contributions to their podcast, as well as representing the interests of small businesses in CBA’s meetings with regulators and government.

“We are delighted to be able to partner with the largest bank in the country and this partnership will be a major benefit for the 800,000 small businesses we reach through our professional association members,” said COSBAO CEO Alexi Boyd, who has recorded a podcast with CBA CEO Matt Comyn to celebrate the partnership.

Commonwealth Bank”s Group Executive Business Banking, Mike Vacy Lyle, added: “Small businesses are an integral part of Australia’s economy and we appreciate the unique value that each business brings.”

“This partnership will help inform and educate business owners on relevant topics, and provide useable insights and support for their businesses. It will also help ensure small businesses continue to have a strong voice advocating for them.”
