Viking Aggregation has appointed Clive Kirkpatrick (pictured) as managing director of its residential and commercial divisions.
The new broker-focused aggregator, part of the Nationwise group, is designed to give brokers greater autonomy, modern technology, and a supportive network to grow their businesses independently.
Kirkpatrick’s appointment marks a significant step as Viking prepares for its formal market launch. The sector is undergoing major transformation, driven by digitisation, broker empowerment, and demand for value-added services — trends reshaping the mortgage industry.
Kirkpatrick brings more than 40 years of experience across banking and financial services, having held executive roles at both local and international levels. His leadership credentials span business management, growth strategy, and broker engagement.
He previously served as general manager of Vow Aggregation at Yellow Brick Road Group and general manager of mortgage broking at St George Banking Group, where he led strong sales growth. His governance experience includes chair and director roles at Pepper Advantage Hub (Fiji) and Orbyt, and he currently serves as deputy chairman of the Finance Brokers Association of Australasia.
As managing director, Kirkpatrick will lead Viking Aggregation’s push to become a leading residential and commercial aggregator in Australia and New Zealand. He said the business is well placed to deliver real impact for brokers.
“I am enormously excited about what Viking Aggregation can bring to the market with some of the best people here to serve our brokers, an incredible tech stack that is probably one of the best I’ve seen and strong multi-focused customer solution platform. I’m looking forward to being part of a pioneering aggregator in a growing market,” Kirkpatrick said.
Viking Aggregation is part of the Nationwise group, which supports a growing network of finance businesses.
Nationwise CEO Gus Kininmont welcomed the appointment, highlighting Kirkpatrick’s operational expertise and strategic insight.
“We are thrilled to have Clive on board as our managing director,” Kininmont said. “His deep industry knowledge and proven track record of driving financial performance and operational excellence will be invaluable as we continue to expand our services and strengthen our client relationships. Clive’s commitment to quality governance and professional standards positions Viking for continued success in the industry.”
